Google Search Console Alerts (such as the one above) – are a new service from Google. It alerts you to things that need to be checked on your website to ensure your inn is ranking well.
This is a great gift from Google.
Instead of hiding their secret algorithms, alerts are giving us clues. Clues to fixes that will help you stay higher on search engines.
Some things are easy to fix – such as:
- URL not indexed
- Text too small to read
- Viewport not set
- Content wider than the screen
Innkeepers are having us check their websites when they receive these alerts. We make adjustments and the fixes they need to bring their websites up to Google standards. And obviously – make Google happy with their sites and rank them higher.
